Comedian Teddy Ray dies at 32 | The 90s to today


Comedian and actor Teddy Ray died at the age of 32.

All Def Digital, a media company Ray worked with frequently, confirmed the news on Instagram on Saturday, August 13. “All Def Family we are heartbroken and still cannot believe our brother Teddy Ray has passed away,” they wrote. “Teddy was the nicest person you could ever meet. He was always smiling,” the statement continued. “He had a natural ability to make anyone laugh in any situation and his laughter was contagious! To know Teddy was to love him. Teddy is a great and an All Def legend. He will be missed every day but we know he will make heaven laugh. Our deepest condolences and prayers to his immediate family and friends. 🙏🏾🖤🕊.”

Ray was known for his viral social media skits and stand-up comedy sets which landed him a role on HBO Max’s Break with Sam Jay series, through American review. Comedy Central also paid tribute to the late comedian on Twitter. “Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved artist. He will be deeply missed by the entire comedy community,” they wrote.

Ray’s cause of death has yet to be revealed. Many Hollywood stars mourned the loss on social media, including Issa Rae, Quinta Brunsonand the jerseyshore cast – who he worked with on the series Disorder.
