Bleav, an omnichannel sports and entertainment production company, makes its range of sports and pop culture podcasts available on the TuneIn app. Bleav offers around 500 shows, many of which are hosted by former professional athletes, generating a thousand hours of content per month.
“Podcasts are essential for modern sports fans. That’s how many people stay informed, entertained and connected with their favorite teams or athletes, from anywhere in the world,” said TuneIn CEO Richard Stern. “This partnership with Bleav adds to that extra depth of sports knowledge and access to make TuneIn the place to be for the total sports audio experience,” he said in the announcement.
Bleav features podcasts and networks covering MLB, NBA, NCAAF, NCAAB, SEC, NHL, football, betting, pop culture and more. TuneIn says content will now be available in a “direct-style linear format” that will allow them to discover new content in real time, as well as rewind and listen on demand to the programming that piques their interest the most. .
“Access to new podcasts and the conversations that take place there is an important part of the power of audio for consumers,” Stern said. “With this agreement, we know our listeners will be guided in the right direction on their journey of sports audio discovery with the addition of Bleav’s programming.”
Bleav’s move is the latest to expand its reach. In May, it signed a deal with SiriusXM to make its lineup of NFL team shows available in the podcast section of the SXM app. Under their agreement, SiriusXM also has the ability to broadcast Bleav content and interviews with Bleav talent on various SiriusXM sports channels. The two companies plan to expand the Bleav content available on the SXM app, including shows focused on other professional and college sports.
